i rode the train from narita

a first draft song, with a little video to accompany it.

i can't wait to record it with a real violin and bells.

idea 3 gets reworked

so... idea 3 was losing focus and starting to unravel.
it continued in it's original direction, but became muddled and chunky.

i decided to play the chords on the glockenspiel and idea 3 moved in a different direction
(an admittedly detektivbyrån direction- fine by me)... but most importantly, it moved.
i'm happy with these changes.

info: 6/8 92bpm

the river

short rough... click here to listen/download the river.

everyone's calling you a hero.

'cuz you pulled that boy
from the river.

you'll get Christmas cards
from his mother.

for as long as she
can write.

and I heard the mayor say,
that they'll put a plaque that day...

where you stood and
saved his life.

米塚山と Komezuka to

this one has been mulling around for a bit, but i'd like to start getting it tighter, maybe more concise? it's got a cheezy computer string section in it now, i'll have to enlist the help of friends for that one.

it's long, but i enjoy it.

but i have four blogs about myself... of course i enjoy it.

info: 6/8 90

that's right, i said 6/8, deal with it.

any takers for the drum-track? please??

day seventeen 三番週の十七番日

a very short rough on acoustic... click here to play.

The regime's leader, General Than Shwe, rebuffed repeated attempts by the United Nations' secretary-general, Ban Ki-moon, to speak to him by telephone. Admiral Timothy Keating, the head of America's Pacific Command, and Thailand's prime minister, Samak Sundaravej, both visited Yangon to try to persuade the regime to let in a big international rescue mission like the one assembled after the 2004 tsunami. Neither succeeded.
